While Memphis rappers and producers have been tearing up the game recently, violence in Memphis has been on the rise as well.
Pooh Shiesty has been beefing with a Memphis rapper named EBG Jizzle and his crew, and things got violent when Jizzle was shot in the arm.
Now, there is more violence in the city with rappers, as Donterrius Johnson, better known as Mendenhall Mendenhall 2x was shot and killed this past week.
According to police, Mendenhall was at the wrong place at the wrong time, as he was caught in the crossfire of a man trying to gun down another man who stole his car.
Channel 3 News in Memphis reports that earlier in the day, a 20-year-old man named Noah Jones called the police and said that his black Chevy Camero had been "stolen at gunpoint in front of his home."
Apparently, Jones didn't want to wait for the police and found the juvenile male at a gas station, the same time Mendenhall was entering the store.
Jones and three other men opened fire, killing both men, but Jones was also shot in the leg during the incident, sending him to the hospital, and later being arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Rest in peace.
