Megan Thee Stallion Explains Why She's Not Making New Music

Despite going through a lot of legal drama with her label 1501 Certified Entertainment over releasing music, Megan Thee Stallion said she's taking a break from recording new material.

“Fans can expect new music when I’m in a better place,” she said while speaking to InStyle. “Right now, I’m focused on healing.”

Megan's break seems to be related to the shooting trial against Tory Lanez.

As it's been widely reported, the Canadian rapper was found guilty in December 2022 for shooting her in the feet two years prior. 

He was denied a new trial earlier this month and is looking at significant prison time.

Plus, Megan was called a liar for much of the trial, with a lot of people saying that Tory really didn't shoot her.
