Meek Mill Defends Troy Ave With #FreeTroy

by HHL Editors

Troy Ave was released from the hospital yesterday and went directly to jail without bail

He's being charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment and illegal weapons possession after being caught on tape opening fire backstage at the T.I. show.

Troy's bodyguard Ronald "Banga" McPhatter was killed in the gunfire.

"He’s the real victim here,” Ave's lawyer Scott E. Leemon said of him in court. “McPhatter died a hero trying to protect Mr. Collins [Troy Ave]. He was not shot by Mr. Collins."
Leemon also argued that Troy acted in self-defense.

While many in the rap community have criticized Troy Ave for opening fire, he has a defender in Meek Mill.
