Darrell Brooks, who raps under the name Mathboi Fly, has been charged with five counts of murder after ramming his SUV into the Waukesha, WI Christmas parade, killing at least five and injuring dozens.
Police say Mattboi was involved in a domestic disturbance with another person right before he drove the Ford Escape into the parade. The cops disputed earlier reports that the police were pursuing Mathboi when he ran into the parade-goers.
The Ford Escape was seen in some of Mathboi's music videos, which have been deleted from YouTube.
Mathboi had been arrested on February 2 for trying to run a woman over with his car. He was released on a $1000 bail, which the Milwaukee DA's office is calling "inappropriately" low." They have launched an investigation into the bail decision.
In 2020, Mathboi was charged with firing a gun during an argument. He has been charged with ten crimes in all since 1999.
