Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian very publically announced her intention to free Master P's brother C-Murder.
C is serving a life sentence for the assault and murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas in 2002. However, a few years ago, a witness who said he saw C-Murder fire the gun recanted his testimony.
Kim isn't the first to try to free the New Orleans rapper. Master P has thrown a lot of money at getting his bro home and warned KK that it may not be as easy as it seems.
"My whole thing is getting my brother home. Whatever anybody do that's gonna spark that plug, I appreciate it," P told TMZ. "But, like I said, Louisiana is not the same like all the rest of these places."
"I hope it's all for the right reasons with all these people," he continued. "Louisiana is serious. We done spent millions of dollars throughout all these years and, you know, this place has a lot of corruption. Hopefully, Kim K and her celebrity status-- but, this is not going to be easy."
Do you think Kardashian will succeed where Master P failed?

On January 18, 2002 a tragedy occurred when a young man was killed. The next day Corey Miller was arrested for the murder.
The jury convicted Corey 10-2 and he was sentenced him to life in prison. If his trial was today, the jury would have had to be unanimous for him to be convicted.

Since his trial, witnesses have recanted, new evidence of his potential innocence has come to light, and there are claims of jurors being pressured into voting to convict.

True justice for the young man requires that the person who actually killed him be held responsible and that Corey Miller he returned home to his kids.
