Master P has always been a proponent if giving a man his flowers when he's still alive.
And the OG detests fake love.
He spoke on the fake love Nipsey Hussle still gets over three years after his death, which is a topic he's touched on before.
“I just think in our culture, it just natural that people just self-hate,” he told HipHopDx. “They don’t want to see somebody else make it until they gone. You don’t want to tell somebody they great while they alive. That’s the thing that I just couldn’t understand about Nipsey is that he was talented.
Master P said he used to mentor Nipsey and knew about his struggles when he was alive.
“He put the same record that sold millions of copies only sold 50,000 when he was alive and he couldn’t get it,” Master P said. “He was like, ‘Man, I put my all into this project.’ He was like, ‘Boss, I did it. This is it.’ And then when it didn’t happen, and just watching the people, this guy don’t know that his funeral was at the Staples Center. He didn’t know that he had that type of love. Let’s be honest, he was still in Inglewood and Crenshaw trying to figure it out."
Do you find it suspicious that Nip has so many more fans know than when he was alive.
