30-year-old Michael Jackson impersonator Jordan Neely is dead after an altercation on a Manhattan subway yesterday.
Neely entered the train and immediately got aggressive with the other rides.
"I want food," he screamed, according to witnesses. " I'm not taking no for an answer! I'm ready to go back to jail, and I'll hurt anyone on this train!"
He then began throwing trash at the other rides.
A 24-year-old Marine, whose name hasn't been released, was on the train and subdued Neely with a chokehold that lasted 15 minutes.
Neely was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Neely was well-known in Times Square for his impersonation of Michael Jackson. Neely had 44 prior arrests and police had been looking to question him about a 2021 assault.
The marine was questioned and released. He could still be charged pending an investigation.
