Marilyn Manson tried to pull the kind of physical antic his new buddy Lil Uzi Vert excels in.

But it didn't turn out well for the 48-year old shock rocker.

While he was performing his version of The Eurythmics 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These) at New York's' Hammerstein Ballroom last night he attempted to pull himself up with a prop made up of two giant pistol replicas. The props struck back:

The singer remained on the ground for several minutes after the prop was lifted off of him. He was eventually taken to the hospital.

There were rumors that Manson had died in the accident, but that isn't the case.

While his reps wouldn't reveal the details of his injuries, they are serious enough to cancel the next nine dates of his tour.

"Marilyn Manson is being forced to cancel several of his October dates on his forthcoming US tour," the singer's rep said in a statement. "On Saturday night, the legendary performer suffered an injury on stage towards the end of his set at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom causing him to cut the show short. He was treated for the injury at a local hospital and will be recuperating at home in Los Angeles."
