Weed has been known to help folks with diseases like glaucoma and MS.
New research suggests it may also make bones heal faster.
Israeli scientists have discovered that if they give rats the non-psychotic marijuana component cannabidiol [CBD] the rodents' broken bones heal faster, and their bones are also more resistant to breaks.
The researchers believe this is because of the relationship between cannabidiol receptors and the simulation of bone growth.
"We found CBD alone to be sufficiently effective in enhancing fracture healing. Other studies have shown CBD to be a safe agent, which leads us to believe we should continue this line of study in clinical trials to assess its usefulness in improving human fracture healing."Perhaps this is why piff enthusiasts Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa don't collapse despite their ultra thin frames.
