The Los Angeles Lakers are sitting pretty right now with an impressive record of 24-4. Magic Johnson says he's responsible for.
The hoop legend used to be the Laker's president of basketball operations before he abruptly quit on April 9 of this year. But he said the work he put in before that made all the difference.
"This was my strategy, this is what I thought we’d be in three years,” Magic told the Los Angeles Times. “I knew we were on the right track. Everybody wanted to do it their way, but I’m good with who I am … I think people respect what I’ve done for the team ... The only thing I would have done different would be to sit down with Jeanie [Buss] and let her know I was leaving, sit down with LeBron [James] and let him know … Otherwise, I wouldn’t have changed anything. I still would have walked away."
Would you say that Magic is responsible for the Lakers being arguably the best team in the NBA right now?
