Machine Gun Kelly Says That He Owned 2020 As Much As Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch & Pop Smoke

Machine Gun Kelly said that he had a year just as big as Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch and Pop Smoke and he wants credit for it.

Kelly made that argument after Spotify’s Head of Urban Music Carl Chery said Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch and Pop Smoke owned 2020 regardless of genre. 

The Cleveland native's latest album Tickets To My Downfall opened up at No.1 on the Billboard 200 charts earlier this month but only stayed there for a week. Meanwhile, Lil Baby and Roddy Ricch remained at the No. 1 spot for weeks, and Pop Smoke's album earned the top chart position twice this year.

Chery responded in a now deleted tweet.

“Roddy’s album no.1 four weeks and ‘The Box’ is the biggest song of the year. Fact," he wrote. "Lil Baby no.1 for five weeks. Only double platinum album of the year. King of features. Pop debuted at no.1 and went back to no.1 three months later. Only a select few can be in that convo.”

Which artist would you say had the biggest year of 2020?  If you leave rap, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift could probably each make good arguments that they had the biggest year.
