In the wake of Mac Miller's death of a suspected drug overdose, his family called for privacy.
"Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time."
Mac's mom Karen Meyers has now shared with the public a tiny slice of their mourning process with an Instagram photo of her late son at PNC Park in their hometown of Pittsburgh.
The photo is captioned with a simple heartbroken emoji.
Miller's peers like J. Cole and The Game have also posted emotional tributes to Miller. Fans have been remembering Miller by playing his music. So much so that his last album Swimming, which dropped a month ago, has risen to the top of the Apple Music chart.
