A few months ago, Mac Miller's REMember Music label signed under Warner Bros. for an astounding $10 million that'll be budgeted accordingly to build his brand. He's been quiet about it, which left a lot of fans wondering why he chose to stop being independent.
Talking to The Fader, Mac lets everyone know that he did all he could as an independent rapper. In order to progress and grow, he needs what major labels offer, including the budget to do more creative things. It's a very good idea. We can't wait to see what Mac is able to do next year with this new platform.
"It's what I need to say next," he replies when asked about his next project. "I'm excited to be working on another album."
