Lupe Fiasco Makes It Clear That He Never Apologized To Kendrick Lamar

While the talk of J. Cole apologizing to Kendrick Lamar continues, Lupe Fiasco corrected those who say he too apologized to the Compton rapper.

In 2018 Lupe said that Kendrick wasn't the top lyricist that everyone makes him out to be, a claim that was mentioned in Complex's recent article, "A History of Rappers Apologizing to Kendrick Lamar."

"I’ll put it to you like this. K. Dot is not a top tier lyricist to me and my standards when it comes to punchlines and bars," he tweeted back then. "His overall lyrics are good, his stories phenomenal, but punchline entendre lyrically I don’t see it."

Later, Lupe walked back those words and said he shouldn't have spoken about Kendrick.

"I apologize for even engaging and talking about n*ggas’ careers. I’ll never do that sh*t again," he wrote.

But when Lupe saw that he was included in Complex's article, he issued a message.

"Relax yo… I wasn’t apologizing to him lol," he tweeted, then deleted. "I was sorry about the entire shindig because it was such a waste of time and energy in something that had nothing to do with me. Keep my name clean… I fear no rapper of any kind or on anytime… K dot solid but y’all need to chill lol."
