ESPN reported today that Lonzo Ball left Roc Nation and signed with agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports. Paul is the same person who's Lebron James' agent, as well as Anthony Davis.'
Lonzo's decision means that his boisterous father LaVar, who ran his career, no longer works with him. The NBA point guard talked about what his relationship is like with his dad since they're not in business together anymore.
"We had a couple rumblings here and there, but everything got squared away," Lonzo told ESPN. "When your son gets older, they're going to butt heads with their dad, and that's what I did for about a year and a half. But everything is cool now."
Lavar also talked about his current relationship with his son.
"He's always been his own man," he told ESPN over the phone. "As a father, all I can do is guide him. I'm not going to take a lesser role. I am going to be his father, and that's it."
Do you think Lonzo's career will go any better now that he's no longer working with his dad?
