Logic Says He Wasn't Dissing Joyner Lucas On "Yuck"

by HHL JT

Here's a brief history of the Logic/Joyner Lucas beef:

Lucas been poking at Logic for the last couple of years, both on and off wax.

Logic had been keeping silent on the barbs. But he finally (everyone thought) responded on the Bobby Tarantino II track "Yuck."

Talkin' shit 'bout Logic, I never respond
I'll let success talk, 'cause a word of advice:
More achievements for yourself and less talk
Cats beef with Logic, yeah, they prayin' I respond
If I ever did, I dead you in this game with no respawn
Peace, Love, and Positivity that's all I want with you
But you push the issue 'cause I give you more press than your publicist could ever get you," Logic raps.

Those words seemed to fit Lucas to a T.  Joyner is Logic's highest-profile critic, but he's less famous than Logic, so going after the DMV rapper gets him a type of press he can't necessarily get on his own.

But in a new interview with Hard Knock TV, Logic claims "Yuck" isn't about anyone in particular:

"It's not a diss song. If it was a diss song, I'd say somebody's name... this is probably the closest [I'm] ever going to have," Logic explained. "I would never do that. It's not who I am. This is the closest I would ever [get to] diss the entire industry that talks shit about me. Every single person in one, that's it. I would never focus on one person, or one thing or one that because I feel sorry for anyone who would try to beef with me. It's like, what's the point? It's funny to me. Me and my homies, we just clown, like, I don't even know any of these people."

Do you really think Logic didn't have Lucas in mind when he wrote those bars?

Or is he further needling Joyner by basically saying he's not important enough to have his name spoke in public?
