Polo G is the latest young rapper to tease retirement.
"Honestly after my hood poet album I’m considering retiring from music. So I appreciate everybody ridin for me 10 fold🌪️," he typed on Twitter "This rap sh*t got so lame and watered down it ain’t no fun in it no more."
OG LL Cool J doesn't want to hear that ish.
"I hear artists all the time flirting with retirement. And that’s really insecurity because they don’t know whether or not they’re going to be able to continue on in their careers. At least that’s how it comes off to me," he told Sway. "It’s a little bit ungrateful because you’re in a position to have a great career, and you’re flirting with retirement for absolutely no reason, other than the fact that you don’t know what to do next."
Are rappers too promiscuous with talk of retirement?
