Lil Yachty Just Won His Feud With Funkmaster Flex On Instagram

In a very 2016 move, Lil Yachty responded to Funkmaster Flex’s shade over Instagram, and proved that while he might not have the bars, he does have the Insta fingers.

This all started when 48-year old Funk Flex hosted Murda Mook and Oun-P on air for a freestyle session. He ended up loudly calling out “mumble rappers” like 19-year old Lil Yachty for their inability to drop bars like Murda.

Lil Yachty responded over Instagram, and made Flex seem both childish and out of touch. He highlighted their generational gap and the outdated focus on “bars”:

“I’m sure Mr. Murda Mooks would kill me in a rap battle … but ask him to seem in streams/sales/or on the charts. It’s easy to write a verse but how easy is it to make a stamp on the culture?”
Flex responded making fun of Yachty’s lack of confidence, which Yachty disputed by both agreeing to go on Flex’s show and highlighting that he’s “the Grammy-nominated, Sprite-endorsing, Nautica creative director 19-year-old millionaire mumble rapper.”

I’m just looking forward to Lil Boat on Flex’s show. Watch the original diss and read their social media skirmish below.
