Lil Wayne Gets Heat For Contradictory Comments On Black Lives Matter

by HHL Editors

Lil Wayne has been making controversial statements about race relations for a while now.

In September, Weezy said he's never experienced racism, and isn't sure it exists. He backed that up in interview last month in which he said he didn't know what racism is.

Last night Wayne was on Nightline, and this is what he told the national TV audience he thought about the Black Lives Matter movement.

"That just sounds weird, I don’t know, that you put a name on it. It’s not a name, it’s not ‘whatever, whatever,’ it’s somebody got shot by a policeman for a fucked up reason… I am a young black rich motherfucker. If that don’t let you know that America understand black motherfuckers matter these days, I don’t know what it is… I don’t know what you mean, man, don’t come at me with that dumb ass shit, ma’am. My life matter. Especially to my bitches.” "I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me,” he continued “If you do, you crazy as shit."
Wayne eventually took off his mic and left the set, saying "I ain’t no fuckin’ politician.

Lil Wayne never played the media game. Latest interview isnt surprising, he's always had an out of sync, different perspective.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a perspective that doesn't fit the narrative. But is Lil Wayne making any sense?

Here's the entire interview. In it, Wayne also pulls out a red flag and declares that he's "a gang banger."
