Lil Wayne Taunted Over Kendrick Lamar After Congratulating Bill Belichick

by Daryl Nelson

Bill Belichick is now the head coach for the University of North Carolina's football team. The school announced the five-year deal on Wednesday.

But some don't care for the decision to bring Belichick on, despite him winning six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots..

So, Lil Wayne defended the 72-year-old and gave him some praise.

Man much respect 2da GOAT coach Bill Belichick! Not sure why they’re all hatin but I believe it to be envy and just a bunch of folks that don’t know how to simply say “congratulations” or nada! A wise man once said “u can luv me or hate me, I swear it wont make me or break me”…

"Man much respect 2da GOAT coach Bill Belichick!" he tweeted yesterday. "Not sure why they’re all hatin but I believe it to be envy and just a bunch of folks that don’t know how to simply say 'congratulations' or nada! A wise man once said 'u can luv me or hate me, I swear it wont make me or break me."

The irony in Wayne's tweet is evident, because he didn't use that same reasoning when Kendrick Lamar was tapped to play Super Bowl LIX and not him. Instead, he posted a somber video and sought sympathy.

It was something that many reminded him of by posting comments and memes, which you can see below.

What's your reaction to people calling Wayne a hypocrite?

You can’t say that simple ‘congratulations’ to Kendrick though.

Stop being an hypocrite. You’re too old for that

You didn’t say “congratulations” to Kendrick, talking about some “just a bounce of folks that don’t know how to simply say congratulations or nada”

So it’s just a double standard for you, huh? You know how to say "congratulations" and what it means for people, but you refuse to do it for this specific person—even though they’ve always shown you love and respect throughout their career.
