In July of 2015, former Young Money rapper Widner "Flow" Degruy was arrested for second-degree murder in connection with a double slaying that happened in New Orleans over Memorial Day weekend.
Surveillance cameras spotted Flow and an accomplice fleeing the scene after brothers Kendrick and Kendred Bishop were shot to death in their vehicle, which was positioned near Flow's mother's home.
It took a while for the case to go to trial because the police couldn't find the weapon, which Flow had given to his mother and she had hidden from police. She was eventually charged and pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact. She agreed to testify against her son.
In addition to providing the murder weapon, she told the court that Flow had told her he was angry that someone had stolen from him. Shortly after, she heard gunfire outside of the house. Prosecutors say the motive behind the murder was that the Bishop brothers stole from Flow.
Flow was signed to Young Money in 2012 and was briefly in the group L.A.T. with Kevin Gates and Gudda Gudda.
Testimony in his double murder trial is expected to continue today.
