Lil Wayne's latest legal tactic is to try to have Young Money shut down.
As part of his ongoing $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money, Wayne is demanding that the judge either "appoint a receiver to supervise the operations of Young Money Label joint venture or order the termination of Young Money Label joint venture and appoint a liquidator."
Birdman argues Wayne has no right to shut down the label while Young Money artists are still under contract.
YM is a big part of Wayne's suit against CM. Weezy's legal team has argued that he's owed royalties for YM artist like Nicki Minaj and Drake and that Baby and Cash Money have “grossly mismanaged” YM by not paying people who are owed money, and not properly disclosing profits.
If Young Money is dissolved, Drake and Nicki would be awfully attractive free agents.
