The FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Miami-Dade Police searched Lil Wayne's private plane at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport a couple of weeks ago and found cocaine, heroin, Opioids, MDMA, weed, guns, including a gold-plated .45 caliber handgun with a pearl grip, and ammunition.
So far, nobody has been charged. However, as the Miami Herald has been reporting, that may just because the Feds didn't want to convene a grand jury during the holidays are now taking their time and building their case.
If they do go to a grand jury, Wayne could be in trouble. The paper reports that Weezy admitted to owning the golden gun, which they found in his book bag. He explained it had been a Father's Day gift. The officers reported it was "readily apparent" Wayne was under the influence of illicit narcotics during their search.
Wayne has been convicted and served time on gun charges so it's unlikely he's allowed to have a gun.
The plane was approached after it landed on a flight from California because the authorities had received an anonymous tip. The pilot allowed the officers to search the aircraft.
