Last year, Ronald Sweeney, who said he was Lil Wayne's lawyer between 2005 and 2018 and his manager in 2018, sued Weezy for $20 million for unpaid commissions.
Sweeney claimed he was owed at least that when Wayne settled his long-running lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money in 2018.
This week, a federal judge in California dismissed Sweeney's $20 million lawsuit.
According to the judge, Sweeney needed to file the suit in Florida, where Wayne lives. His ruling to dismiss doesn't allow Sweeney the chance to refile the suit.
Wayne had argued that Sweeney was never his manager and that he didn't use Sweeney'ss legal help during his case against Cash Money.
Now it doesn't matter, as the issue is legally settled.
