Earlier this month, Lil Uzi Vert previewed a new song at Rolling Loud which contained this bar.
“I make a City Girl believe in Satan," he rapped enthusiastically.
The City Girl being his long-time lady J.T.
Folks like Summer Walker and Tony Yayo pushed Uzi's embrace of the Devil.
But Vert says it's not so serious.
"Not exactly Satan, but basically I make a girl do whatever I say so," Uzi explained when asked about the song by TMZ. "[JT] really didn’t think too much of it. She was there when she heard me make the song, she knows what I really mean."
Vert went on to say he is just having fun with all the Satan stuff.
"I just say whatever I want in my songs, it's my freedom of speech. I grew up in a religious household ... I don't mean to offend people but if I do offend people they have the option to turn it off," he said, adding that he doesn't actually believe in Satan.
