Lil Poopy Signs Big Deal With Sony-Epic Records

by HHL Editors

Lil Poopy had a moment a few years back when the-then nine-year old's track 'Pop That' got some attention for its cocaine filled lyrics.

He even performed with French Montana and the Coke Boys for a time, although he never signed with the label.

Now 13, he's been back in the news lately: The youngster finished second on Jermaine Dupri's reality show The Rap Game, and in June his dad Luis 'Fat Louie' Rivera was arrested on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base.

Poopy got some better news this week when he signed a four year deal with Sony-Epic records for an undisclosed amount of money.

And, yes, he's taking his ridicolous name to the major label.

Here is how Lil Poopy became Lil Poopy, according to Lil Poopy.

"My dad, when he used to change me, I used to poop all over his hands,' he explained. 'And he stuck me with that name. I actually kind of like it."
Do you think he'll be around long enough for us to just be calling him Poopy?
