Lil Nas X announced last month that he was going into his "Christian Era," which will include new music. But he's angered a lot of people in the process.
He did it by mocking Christianity and creating a website called SaveNasX.com.
But in a tweet sent on Tuesday, January 9, the "Old Town Road" rapper said he's taking his new Christian walk seriously and will be taking Christian Leadership, as well as Biblical Studies, at Liberty University.
I know twitter hates me right now but i want yall to know im literally about to go to college for biblical studies in the fall. Not everything is a troll! Anyways IM A STUDENT AGAIN! LETS GOOO pic.twitter.com/kTYbjevyZ7

"I know twitter hates me right now but i want yall to know im literally about to go to college for biblical studies in the fall," tweeted Nas X. "Not everything is a troll! Anyways IM A STUDENT AGAIN! LETS GOOO."
Plus, the 24-year-old shared the cover art for his new single "J Christ" earlier this week, which shows him on a cross, and he's gotten a lot of backlash.
MY NEW SINGLE IS DEDICATED TO THE MAN WHO HAD THE GREATEST COMEBACK OF ALL TIME!

Do you believe that Nas X has really turned over a new Christian leaf, or is all of this just a marketing move?
Update: He was trolling and photoshopping. Here is a statement from Liberty:
We can confirm that Liberty University did not issue the Montero Hill “acceptance letter” posted yesterday to social media, and we have no record of Montero Hill applying to the University. Liberty University exists to glorify God by equipping men and women in higher education in fidelity to the Christian faith expressed through the Holy Scriptures. We continue to pray for America and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed across this land. We welcome all to apply and join us at Liberty University.
