In 2019, Chiraq rapper Lil Jay was convicted of the murder of 25-year old Filmon Rezene, who was shot and killed in Chicago on May 4, 2015.
He got 14 years. But with time served, he was eligible to get out in 2022.
He's out.
"Yeah," Jay said pulling down his mask to show his face.
Jay was friends with Rezene and was with him when he got in a shootout with a marijuana dealer, who killed Rezene in what was ruled self-defense. Jay caught the murder charge because he was committing a crime that resulted in a death.
