Lil Durk blamed Def Jam for holding up his career.
"From 2012 until a couple of months ago, I was still with them," he said. "And it was like they wanted me to be this and be this and be this. I couldn't do nothing ... When I dropped the tape Just Cause Y'all Waited, that was like the first day I was off. If I would've gave up, it would've been a rap."
Earlier this month, the Chicago spitter dropped his "Never Scared (Never Cared Remix,)" which will be on his forthcoming Signed to The Streets 3 project. And last month Durk released Only The Family Involved, so he's pretty been busy since splitting with Def Jam.
How do you think Durk will do as an indie artist?
