Lil Baby's WHAM album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, but it's gotten mixed reviews.
Some said the album doesn't match up to the rapper's previous work, like Kai Cenat, who gave it a 6/10 rating.
Lil Baby was asked about Kai's review, and he took it with a grain of salt. Mainly, because he believes that at 23 years old, the streamer is too young to fully understand his music. Lil Baby is 30 years old, by the way.
"I saw little clips of it. But people like Kai Cenat, I feel like they’re younger. They won’t really understand how I'm coming. You have to be a little older to really get it," Lil Baby told Complex. "That's something that's changed anyway, because I never used to think that there was any age demographic [that was] good to rate music unless you're a music person."
He continued. "If it was a music person, then I'd probably be more interested. But the streamers and people who do reviews, that’s just their personal opinion. They know nothing about music for real."
Is Lil Baby right about Kai and streamers like him being too young to get his music?
