Even though Lil Baby's "The Bigger Picture" lost to Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage Remix" in the category of Best Rap Song at the Grammys on Sunday, he scored a major victory by meeting Jay-Z.
Earlier this week, the "We Paid" rapper sent a tweet about meeting the rap legend, and some might say his excitement was palpable.
Now, in a newly released interview with Billboard, Lil Baby talked about his admiration for Jay, who just became 40% richer after selling his champagne company Armand de Brignac and a"significant majority" of his streaming company TIDAL.
“I’m really not that fond of meeting other celebrities, but Jay-Z is a guy who I look up to, and look up to the way he moves and the things that he’s done. I see myself following in his footsteps," said Lil Baby.
Do you think another rapper will be able to pull off what Jay has in music and business any time soon?
