Lil Wayne obviously has had a huge amount of influence on this latest wave of rappers.
But Weezy has often been reluctant to praise the new school, once claiming he had never heard of Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, or Kodak Black.
He doesn't have that problem with Lil Baby. In fact, during a recent segment with Complex he casually mentioned that Lil Baby was his favorite artist.

“On The Breakfast Club, I saw my favorite artist Lil Baby with the BAPE/Coach collaboration jacket,” he said in the clip.
Wayne has collaborated multiple times with Baby, so he clearly knows his work.
