Lebron James and Kevin Durant may be the biggest rivals in the sports world at the moment.
But the two are pals off of the court. In fact, we've just learned they recorded a rap song together during the 2011 NBA lockout.
According to those who've heard the track, Durant raps first, with James on the second verse and then KD finishing. The-then OKC star, who produces beats in his spare time, did the instrumentals.
According to ESPN, both stars more or less confirmed the the track.
When approached about its existence, James and Durant, to a moderate extent, confirmed that there is such a track before bursting out into laughter without further comment. There are no current plans to release the song to the public. One individual who listened said it was “a quality track” and added that the lyrics were “surprisingly well-crafted and delivered.” It was so aesthetically pleasing that there were discussions about it being featured in the 2012 film "Thunderstruck," which starred Durant.
Here's a snippet of the track.
