Kanye West recently filmed an episode of LeBron James's HBO show The Shop.
But it will not air.
LeBron and his business manager Maverick Carter have decided to pull the plug on the episode after Kanye made bigoted remarks during the filming.
"Yesterday we taped an episode of The Shop with Kanye West. Kanye was booked weeks ago and, after talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped, I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments,” Carter said. “Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes."
“While The Shop embraces thoughtful discourse and differing opinions, we have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate,” Carter continued. “I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew. Hate speech should never have an audience.”
Kanye recently got himself locked out of Instagram and Twitter for making anti-Semitic remarks.
He also made anti-Semitic comments during a recent interview with Tucker Carlson. Fox News cut those remarks out, as well as comments Ye made about "fake children" being sent to his house to manipulate his real children.
But the cut video leaked to Vice, which published it.
