The killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police has sparked a lot of action from the public, celebrities, and sports players. It's also started some new feuds.
A lot of people pointed out that Colin Kaepernick tried to bring attention to the issue of police violence by kneeling during the National Anthem, but he received harsh criticism for supposedly disrespecting the flag and U.S. troops.
Some would consider Kaepernick's approach better than looting and rioting that have taken place alongside the peaceful protests. But Drew Brees is still not down with what his fellow QB did
The New Orlean Saints superstar spoke to Daniel Roberts from Yahoo this week and had some strong comments about Kaepernick and his kneeling.
"I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country," Brees said.
This comment grabbed the attention of NBA star, Lebron James, who called out Brees for his comments and not fully understanding what Kapernick is trying to accomplish.
WOW MAN!! 🤦🏾♂️. Is it still surprising at this point. Sure isn’t! You literally still don’t understand why Kap was kneeling on one knee?? Has absolute nothing to do with the disrespect of 🇺🇸 and our soldiers(men and women) who keep our land free. My father-in-law was one of those https://t.co/pvUWPmh4s8

Many of Brees teammates have also expressed dissatisfaction with his remarks.
Do you agree with Lebron or Brees?
