Lonzo Ball's signature Z02 shoes aren't exactly setting the world on fire.
They've sold less than 1000 pairs so far, with many of the purchases going to serious collectors or novelty buyers.
But don't expect Lonzo's outspoke basketball dad LaVar to go running back to the big sneaker companies.
Now that Lonzo seems headed to the media and cultural mecca that is LA, they would be willing to go $20 million over five years.
Still, Lonzo is likely to see that offer as an insult. That's because Lebron James signed a $93 million Nike deal out of high school, and last year's number one pick Ben Simmons got a $20 million five-year deal with Nike that could double with incentives.
In fact, LaVar seems to be sticking to his demands of three billion for his boy.
Good luck with that.
