The Lakers have banned the press from speaking to LaVar Ball when he's at the Staples Center.
But they can't ban him from speaking to the press in general.
The big-mouthed basketball dad went after the Lakers yesterday for the way they are using his son Lonzo in an interview with SiriusXM NBA radio.
"He's disgusted. He's not used to losing like this. The Lakers should build around Lonzo. Why are they sitting him down and not starting him [in] the fourth quarter? This is why the record is raggedy."
The Lakers are 8 and 15 and have lost five straight. Lonzo is averaging 8.7 points, 7 assists and 6.9 rebounds per game.
Not bad numbers for a 19-year old point guard. But Lonzo's 31 percent field percentage, 50 percent free throw percentage and struggles covering more athletic guards don't exactly scream fourth quarter playing time.
Should the Lakers listen to LaVar's advice and build around Lonzo, or should they consider hiring a hitman to silence LaVar?
