LAPD Doesn't Think PNB Rock Murder Was Just A Robbery

The narrative surrounding PNB Rock's murder goes something like this:

His girlfriend geolocated him at Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles in South Central LA and opportunistic local goons swooped in to rob him, killing him in the process.

The LAPD is not sure they buy that.

Their working theory is that PNB Rock was targeted by his opps for execution and the robbery was just secondary.

Investigators are looking into Rock's beefs in his hometown of Philly and in Atlanta, where he has spent a lot of time.  They are also pouring over his lyrics for clues to who might want him dead

It's unusual for the LAPD to investigate crimes out of state, suggesting they are pretty sure there is evidence in other parts of the country.

As for the girlfriend ... while her social media activity may have inadvertently tipped Rock's opps off, the LAPD doesn't believe she was in cahoots with Rock's killers.
