Lamar Odom was one a few former NBA stars who Ice Cube's Big3 League abruptly deactivated for health concerns and not being in game shape.
According to Odom, he was blindsided by the news, which he found out about on Instagram. So he responded on IG.
"As most of you have heard, the @thebig3 decided to deactivate me for the remainder of the 2019 season. I respect @icecube & the other league executives, however, I am extremely disappointed with the way that this has been handled. Besides the embarrassment, it’s disappointing to read on IG that this decision had been made, especially without sharing it with myself or my manager. Only after I heard from the media, I was then told that the big boys cutting checks decided that they had to deactivate me with no real specific explanation," Odom typed, and later said some pretty nice things about Cube.
Big3 officials have since told TMZ that they made multiple attempts to contact Odom before going public with his deactivation.
The Big3 also deactivated Jermaine O'Neal, Baron Davis and Bonzi Wells for not being in game shape.
