Kobe Bryant Threatens To Pull A Lil Wayne If Deposed In Lawsuit Over Nickname

by HHL JT

Kobe Bryant is in a legal fight with Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals over the trademark for the NBA legend's nickname, Black Mamba.

Hi-Tech filed to trademark the name “Black Mamba HYPERRUSH” for a line of ephedra-based diet pills in 2015, a year before Bryant filed to trademark his famous moniker.

However, Bryant is petitioning to have Hi-Tech's trademark rejected because it would confuse people into thinking he endorses the pill.

That's where Lil Wayne comes in.

Hi-Tech's lawyer wants Bryant to sit for an oral deposition. But Bryant's attorney only wants his client to answer written questions. And if he is deposed ... Kobe's lawyer threatened that Bryant would do like Lil Wayne notoriously did when Weezy was questioned in a 2012 lawsuit involving the documentary The Carter

"Deposing Kobe Bryant would be like Lil Wayne’s deposition … it would be just like that – he’d just be saying ‘I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know," Kobe's lawyer told Hi-Tech.

Here is that legendary Lil Wayne deposition, in which he actually says more than just "I don't know."

Kobe's a super competitive guy, but we're not sure he could top Wayne for depo obstinance.
