The phrase "I'm standing on business" has been become ubiquitous in Hip Hop circles.
Some folks, like Styles P, aren't happy with this development.
"I thought the term "IM STANDING ON BUSINESS" was a remix of "I HANDLE MY BIZ" from the early 90's and early 2000's. But it can't be! Because made soft dudes without a job or hustle keep saying that sh*t," The Lox rapper typed on IG.
Other folks, like King Harris, are taking responsibility for the trend.
T.I.’s son King Harris says he’s the reason everybody says “standing on business” after Druski filmed a music video for the song with the same name 👀🤔 pic.twitter.com/KHrRLeP6O3

"I'm the one that got everyone saying it, you hear," King claimed. "I ain't created it. That would be a lie if I said I created it. That sh*ts been on years and years. When you ask you got the news saying it? Who got ESPN saying it? Who got football players saying it? Who got kids saying it? Who got everybody saying it. It's me."
If T.I.'s son really popularized "standing on business," does that prove Styles's point?
