Kid Cudi has two pretty good careers going on. He's sold millions of records, and he's also been the star of the HBO comedy series How To Make It In America.
Cudi, who acts under his birth name Scott Mescudi, wears both of his hats in the indie film James White, which premiered on Friday at The Sundance Film Festival. The 30-year old scored the movie, and also plays the best friend of the film's protagonist. The gay best friend.
Cudi's character's homosexuality was supposed to be revealed during a make out scene with another male character. But that scene ended up being cut, much to the dismay of Cudi.
"I'm mad [the director] cut out my kissing scenes with David," Cudi said during an audience Q&A session after the film. "We made out so many times -- and it was so good! That's my only gripe."
"I didn't flinch. I'm secure with mine," Cudi added, when asked if filming man-on-man action made him uncomfortable. "I'm an artist -- it's all about playing characters that are intriguing and stimulating."
