Kevin Durant Signs With The Golden State Warriors

by HHL Editors

Kevin Durant is taking his talents to Golden State.

The seven-time All Star and 2014 league MVP has signed a two year deal with the Warriors for $54.3 million.

The second year is believed to be a player option.

KD joins a core of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green -- who are all under 28.

He announced the decision on Derek Jeter's Players' Tribune website.

The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player — as that has always steered me in the right direction. But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth. With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors.
During his nine season NBA career -- all with the SuperSoncis/Thunder franchise -- Durant is averaging 27.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.

Do you think Lebron and the Cavs can hold off the revamped Warriors?

Update: It looks like KD's decision has appeased Bay-area rapper Lil B.
