Shaquille O’Neal has been bashing Warriors center Javale McGee on TNT for some time.
So last night McGee called him out for being obsessed, and then Shaq responded by threatening to beat McGee up.
Kevin Durant weighed on in the feud today, sticking up for his teammate.
"Shaq works for a company that wants to do that kind of stuff, and make fun of the players. It's cool and funny," Durant said. "But when you just keep doing it time and time again, for no reason, and any guy that disagree with you then you threaten him? I didn’t know cops could threaten civilians like that. It's childish. But that's want they want from these retired players. To feud with the guys who are playing."Next Durant agreed that Shaq's constant TV criticism of McGee was costing McGee money, because it makes everyone think he's a dumb player. Then he added that maybe Shaq shouldn't throw stones. (Especially from outside the paint.)
"Shaq was a shitty free throw shooter. He missed dunks. He air-balled free throws. He couldn't shoot outside the paint. He's bigger than everybody, he didn't have no skills. He was bigger and stronger. He's still a great player, but he had his flaws ... And he played on five or six teams."
