"Great musician, great writer. Just always had a smile on his face," K. Dot explained. "No matter what he was going through, he didn't make you feel sorry for him, you know? He was strong about it. Always kept a smile on his face because he wanted you to smile, too. That was something I always. No matter what the personal issues, he gave the energy.

It wasn't no misery loves company with him," he continued. "He showed a smile and you gave that smile right back. It made you feel good. So forever, we gon' remember the life and we gon' remember that smile. Celebrate him. Mac Miller. Love."

Kendrick Lamar was featured on the Mac Miller tracks "Fight The Feeling" and "God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty."

Mac Miller died last Friday of a suspected drug overdose.
