Kendrick Lamar Passes Eminem For Massive Album Chart Achievement

by HHL JT

Kendrick Lamar's major label debut good kid, m.A.A.d city has been on the Billboard 200 album chart for 358 weeks.

That's one more week than Eminem's The Eminem Show charted, and the most ever for a Hip Hop album.

.@kendricklamar's 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' is now the longest charting hip-hop studio album in Billboard 200 history, passing 'The Eminem Show'.

Shady does still have somewhat of a claim to the title. His 2005 greatest hits comp Curtain Call: The Hits has charted for 461 weeks. But keeping a greatest hits project going isn't the same as a regular album with staying power.

Eminem and Kendrick have each song the other's praises in the past, so we suspect Em doesn't mind Kendrick grabbing his record too much.
