Kendrick Lamar & Logic Get Big Sales Bump From VMAs

by HHL Editors

Kendrick Lamar and Logic both performed at the MTV VMAs on Sunday night.

K.Dot did an opening medley of 'DNA' and 'Humble' and ended up winning six VMAs, the most of the night. Logic did his Cara-featured suicide prevention track '1-800-273-8255' later in the show.

Streams of '1-800-273-8255' have gone up 185 percent since Sunday. 'DNA and 'Humble' are up 47 percent and 41 percent, respectively.

Other performers have also seen sales bumps: Fifth Harmony’s 'Down' jumped 205 percent and Cara's 'Scars To Your Beautiful' is up 181 percent.

The news wasn't so good for MTV.

The 2017 VMAs -- which were going against the season finale of Game Of Thrones -- only had 5.4 million viewers, making it the least watched VMAs in history.

10.3 million people watched the VMAs in 2014, and viewership has been steadily declining ever since. The most people to ever watch a VMA was the 11.95 million who tuned in in 2002.
