Earlier this month, Kendrick Lamar’s sister Kayla Duckworth graduated from high school.
K.Dot got her a 2017 Toyota Corolla as a graduation gift. While that's a pretty amazing present for an 18-year-old, a segment of Twitter ragged on Kendrick for not getting her something fancier.

In an interview today with Big Boy, Kendrick spoke on the "backlash" against the gift which came from what Big Boy described as "the public."
“I don’t know if it’s the public or it’s kids on the internet that’s 12 years old and 13 and figured, you know, she’s supposed to have a Lamborghini by Kendrick Lamar,” K.Dot said. “Yeah, it’s a trip. “You know, people’s perspective of me and the money that I have and the stages and places I’ve gone to, they probably expect me not to have the same morals and values that I have,” Kendrick continued. “I want to carry over to my family, to my little sister or whatnot, 'cause she’s younger than me so she didn’t have to go through the same struggle that me and moms had to go through. I want her to continue to appreciate something, and take baby steps.”Jump to the 30-minute mark to hear the conversation.
