Kanye West Sued For Stealing Sample And Trying to be Sneaky About It

by HHL JT

Earlier this month, the family of the late Donna Summer accused Kanye of using part of the disco queen's smash hit "I Feel Love" in his new Vultures track "Good (Don't Die)" even though they had declined his request for the sample.

"Good (Don't Die)" was ultimately removed from streaming services, but not before millions of people streamed it.

TMZ reports the estate is still suing Ye, Ty Dolla $ign and Ye's record label for stealing the sample

They accuse Kanye of trying to get around their rejection of his request by using an interpolation of "I Feel Love" instead of the original track.

But it still sounded enough like the real thing that they were able to get the streaming services to remove it.

Now, they want Kanye to pay.

Donna Summer’s husband, speaking on behalf of her estate, says that Kanye West asked permission to use her iconic song “I Feel Love.”

Summer’s family declined his request.

Kanye used the song anyway.
