GQ's annual list of the Most Stylish Men Alive has quite the Hip Hop flavor.
Kanye West was the first of the 20 names mentioned. (Although there is no indication they are in any particular order.) Other Hip Hop figures include Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, Jaden Smith, Jay Z and Mark Ronson.
GQ explains how they selected the list:
This is not about the celebrities who spend the most cash on designer clothes or hire the best stylists. Instead, we were looking for guys who carry themselves through the world with confidence and originality. Men who follow their own spirit guides.This helps explain why Smith, who wears dresses, and Pharrell, who dresses like this, were including on the list.
As for Kanye, there's no doubt he takes his style seriously. But we were hoping he wouldn't be included just for the meltdown that would have caused.
